Jul. 30th, 2006 08:49 amThunderstorms all morning, and the heat index is still supposed to be over 100ºF this afternoon?!
Profoundly unfair, I tell you. I hope all y'all in Madison have AC.
This is the kind of weather that prompts the D.C. Metro area to give out free rides on public transit, in the hope of A) mitigating air quality problems associated with heat waves and B) keeping people from walking in the heat. Madison Metro offers a similar program on DNR-designated Clean Air Action Days. Not today, though.

Thankfully the heat's not been nearly as bad as predicted... but when you spend the day doing physical chores it's still pretty awful.

Date: 2006-07-31 08:13 pm (UTC)I think the upshot of all this is "too damn hot".
One of these years, I'm going to break down and fix my car's AC.
