I didn't get enough sleep Thursday night, for stupid reasons, so what did I do last night? Naturally, I took a thirteen-mile walk.
I came in about three miles behind Graham, but I'm still proud. It's like a half-marathon, only slower! And it's probably the farthest I've ever walked in one 24 hour period (though I did get a few hours of sleep in the middle).
Didn't come close to being a fundraising champ (despite the generous donations of my friends), because my god some people are insane, but I did do some other fun stuff:
* walked a three-legged lap with my mom, a survivor of breast cancer (5 years and counting!)
* won a $10 gift certificate to an Irish pub in a raffle
* spent time getting to know one of our new brothers, who apparently grew up fairly close to
sam16
* realized that "Barbie Girl" came out my freshman year of college, which was eight years ago, which means I am officially old
And then, instead of coming home to nap, like my mom and my normally-energetic partner in crime, I grabbed a tall grasshopper mocha, braved the chill of the first outdoor farmers' market to get some tasty veggies and a pretty plant, went to Ace to buy some garden tools, installed a new doorbell, and am about to try to get our network working well again. Why can't I be this productive when I'm not sleep-deprived?
