I can think of one, actually. But no, it didn't really help. When people who suck get frustrated, they invariably suck more.

Actually, what makes me feel worse is thinking about how happy my conservative friends are. It makes me feel like I must be some kind of alien, living in a different world with different facts. How else could people I respect differ from me so much in this regard?

I mean, given that I am part of an America wherein conservatives and liberals generally don't have what anyone would call civilized conversations, the number of conservatives I know socially is fairly small, so there is more sympathy than alienation to be found in my social circle. But that doesn't make me feel any better.
