Sep. 14th, 2005 11:45 amMy childhood vacation spot (where I just took Graham a few weeks ago) is having a near miss with Hurricane Ophelia. (Nags Head is somewhere north of the pointy bit where the island starts curving north and then northwest.)

ETA: OK, maybe that's more like a "near hit" around tomorrow - the storm is expected to go right along the coast. Sniff. But at least my friends' shoes aren't a matter of concern ;)
